We are an independent, commercial sales partner and are in no way affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the governments or official toll authorities of Austria (ASFINAG), Switzerland, Slovenia (DARS), Hungary (NÚSZ), Czechia, Slovakia or Bulgaria (BGTOLL). You can also buy the same vignette directly from the official authority of the relevant country at the bare official price, without our service fee.

Article 1 — Definitions

In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:

  • EuropeVignettes.eu: the trade name under which Kenteken Administratie, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42008508, based at Ericssonstraat 2, 5121 ML Rijen, the Netherlands, offers this service.

Article 3 — Applicability

3.1 These terms and conditions apply to all offers, orders and agreements between EuropeVignettes.eu and the Customer, unless expressly and in writing agreed otherwise.

3.2 The applicability of any terms and conditions put forward by the Customer is expressly rejected.

3.3 If any provision of these terms is void or voidable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.

3.4 EuropeVignettes.eu reserves the right to amend these terms. The most current version can always be consulted on the website.

Article 4 — The service and our role as sales partner

4.1 EuropeVignettes.eu acts as an independent commercial sales partner. We arrange, on behalf of the Customer, the application for and registration of digital toll vignettes with the official authority of the relevant country.

4.2 EuropeVignettes.eu is not a government authority and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the government, ministry of transport, or official toll authority of Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia or Bulgaria.

4.3 The actual registration of the vignette takes place in the system of the official authority of the relevant country. EuropeVignettes.eu has no control over the operation, availability or any disruptions of these foreign systems and can only guarantee its own mediation effort, not the outcome of the registration with the official authority.

4.4 EuropeVignettes.eu reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order if:

  • the Customer has provided incorrect, incomplete or non-existent information (such as an invalid license plate);
  • there is a reasonable suspicion of fraud or abuse;
  • the order conflicts with the laws or regulations of the relevant country;
  • fulfillment is not possible for technical or other reasons, for example due to a disruption at the official authority.

4.5 In the event of refusal under Article 4.4, the amount paid will be refunded, unless costs have already been incurred with the official authority that cannot be recovered.

Article 5 — Formation of the agreement

5.1 An agreement is formed as soon as the Customer places an order via the website and the payment has been successfully processed.

5.2 EuropeVignettes.eu confirms the order by email as soon as possible, including an overview of the chosen country, vehicle type, validity period and license plate.

5.3 It is the Customer's responsibility to provide the license plate and other information correctly and completely. An incorrectly provided license plate may result in the vignette not being valid for the vehicle actually used.

Article 6 — Prices, service fee and payment

6.1 The price stated on the website is a total price, including VAT where applicable, and consists of two components: the official vignette price set by the relevant official authority, and the EuropeVignettes.eu service fee for mediation, registration and customer service.

6.2 You can also buy the same vignette directly from the official authority of the relevant country, usually at a lower, bare official price without our service fee. We offer an easy ordering experience, available in your own language, as an alternative.

6.3 Payment must be made in full and in advance using the payment methods offered on the website (including iDEAL, credit card, PayPal). Payments are processed by an external payment service provider; EuropeVignettes.eu does not have access to, and does not store, complete payment details.

6.4 EuropeVignettes.eu reserves the right to change prices, for example as a result of changes to the official vignette price by the relevant country. For an order already placed and paid for, the price at the time of ordering applies.

Article 7 — Right of withdrawal and cancellation

7.1 As a consumer, in a distance contract you are in principle entitled to a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, without giving any reason (art. 6:230o Dutch Civil Code).

7.2 However, when purchasing a vignette, performance of the service (registration of your license plate with the official authority of the relevant country) often begins virtually immediately after your order and payment. If, during the order process, you expressly request immediate performance before the end of the withdrawal period, and confirm that you are aware that you will thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, your right of withdrawal lapses at the moment registration of your vignette is fully completed (art. 6:230p under a Dutch Civil Code, in conjunction with art. 16(1)(a) of Directive 2011/83/EU as amended by Directive (EU) 2019/2161). EuropeVignettes.eu requests your express, separate consent to this during the order process.

7.3 If registration has not yet been fully completed at the time of your withdrawal, you may still withdraw up to that point. In that case, you owe an amount proportional to the service already delivered up to the moment of withdrawal, which in any case includes any costs already irrevocably paid to the official authority.

7.4 For a number of countries and validity periods, for example Austria's 2-month or annual vignette, the official authority itself applies a statutory waiting period, meaning registration only becomes actually active after the regular 14-day withdrawal period has expired. In those cases, performance of the service does not begin immediately, and the regular 14-day right of withdrawal in principle continues to apply as normal. For short-term vignettes (such as a 1-day or 10-day vignette) that generally become active immediately after purchase, the exception in Article 7.2 does apply, provided you have expressly agreed to this.

7.5 If an order is rejected by the official authority for reasons outside the control of EuropeVignettes.eu (for example, a technical error in the foreign system), the Customer will receive a refund of the amount paid.

7.6 To exercise your right of withdrawal, you can send an unambiguous statement to info@europevignettes.eu.

Article 8 — Performance and registration with official systems

8.1 EuropeVignettes.eu makes every effort to register your order with the official authority of the relevant country as quickly as possible, generally within minutes to hours.

8.2 Stated processing times are indicative. EuropeVignettes.eu is not liable for delays resulting from high demand or disruptions at the official authority, incomplete or incorrect information provided by the Customer, or force majeure.

8.3 It is your own responsibility to verify that your vignette is active before entering the motorway of the relevant country, especially for vignettes with a statutory activation delay as referred to in Article 7.4.

Article 9 — Environmental stickers (Umweltplakette)

9.1 In addition to toll vignettes, EuropeVignettes.eu also mediates in applications for the German Environmental sticker. Here too, EuropeVignettes.eu acts as an independent commercial sales partner: the actual assessment and issuance of the Environmental sticker is carried out by the Issuing partner, not by EuropeVignettes.eu itself.

9.2 For a Dutch license plate, the application is verified automatically on the basis of the vehicle data registered with the RDW. For a foreign license plate, you provide a photo or scan of your vehicle registration document yourself; in that case, the application is assessed manually by the Issuing partner, which may result in a longer processing time than for a Dutch license plate.

9.3 EuropeVignettes.eu cannot guarantee that an application will be approved. The Issuing partner may reject an application, for example if the vehicle does not meet the environmental criteria or the documents provided are insufficient or illegible. If an application is rejected for reasons outside the control of EuropeVignettes.eu, you will receive a refund of the amount paid, with the exception of costs already irrevocably charged by the Issuing partner for the assessment of the rejected application.

9.4 The other articles of these terms and conditions — including those on prices and payment (Article 6), right of withdrawal (Article 7), performance (Article 8) and liability (Article 10) — apply in full to the Environmental sticker, provided that where those articles refer to "the official authority of the relevant country" or "the 9 countries", this should be read, for the Environmental sticker, as: the Issuing partner.

Article 10 — Liability

10.1 EuropeVignettes.eu depends on the official systems of the relevant countries and on the Issuing partner for performing vignette registration and the Environmental sticker application. We cannot guarantee that these will not change their rules, prices, vehicle categories, assessment criteria or technical systems, and we are not liable for damage arising from this.

10.2 The total liability of EuropeVignettes.eu towards the Customer for direct damage is at all times limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the relevant order, with a maximum of €500.00 per event or series of related events.

10.3 Liability for indirect damage, consequential damage, loss of travel enjoyment, fines imposed by an official authority, or damage resulting from delay in a foreign system or at the Issuing partner, is excluded, unless there is intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of EuropeVignettes.eu.

10.4 EuropeVignettes.eu is not liable for:

  • inaccuracies in information provided or confirmed by the Customer, including an incorrectly provided license plate or vehicle identification number (VIN) — even where this information was automatically suggested by our website (for example through text recognition on an uploaded vehicle registration document): the Customer always remains responsible for checking and confirming the accuracy before placing the order;
  • decisions, fines or enforcement by the official authority of the relevant country or by the Issuing partner;
  • changes to laws, tolls or vignette regulations in any of the 9 countries, or to the assessment criteria of the Issuing partner;
  • unavailability, or delayed availability, of the website, our system, or the system of the official authority or the Issuing partner;
  • damage caused by force majeure.

Article 11 — Force majeure

11.1 EuropeVignettes.eu is not obliged to fulfill any obligation if prevented from doing so by force majeure.

11.2 Force majeure includes, among other things: disruptions at the official authority of one of the 9 countries or at the Issuing partner, internet or telecom outages, government measures in the Netherlands or the relevant country, strikes, and cyber incidents.

Article 12 — Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights to the website and the content developed by EuropeVignettes.eu belong to EuropeVignettes.eu or its licensors. It is not permitted to reproduce or publish these without prior written consent.

Article 13 — Complaints

13.1 Complaints about the performance of the agreement must be reported in writing as soon as possible, and no later than 14 days after discovering the defect, via info@europevignettes.eu.

13.2 EuropeVignettes.eu aims to handle complaints within 5 working days.

13.3 If you are not satisfied with the handling of your complaint, as a consumer you can turn to the European ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Article 14 — Applicable law and disputes

14.1 Dutch law applies to all agreements between EuropeVignettes.eu and the Customer, even if the Customer resides in another country, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your own country of residence.

14.2 Disputes will be submitted in the first instance to the competent court in the Zeeland-West-Brabant district, Breda location, unless the law mandatorily prescribes otherwise.

Article 15 — Final provisions

15.1 If any provision of these terms is void, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.

15.2 These terms and conditions were last updated on 11 September 2026.
